
rematic renamer
rematic renamer is the perfect tool to rename large image sequences for automated flash import. For example it is possible to rename every second or third file. renamer is also a good tool to rename your photo archives.

 Add Files
Select the files you want to rename by clicking on the "Add Files" button or simply drag and drop the files into the files grid.
 Remove Selected Files
Once you have selected one or more files, you can remove them from your list by clicking the "Remove Selected Files" button.
 Move Up
Select the files you want to move up one row in your files list and click on the "Move Up" button.
 Move Down
Select the files you want to move down one row in your files list and click on the "Move Down" button.
 Clear File List
By clicking the "Clear File List" button you can remove all files in your file list at once.
 Help (F1)
Open the manual by clicking the "Help" button or by pressing the F1 key.
 About rematic renamer
Open the rematic renamer about information by clicking the "about rematic renamer" button.
 Exit Program
Click this button to exit the program.
 Prefix
You can define a prefix for the files you want to rename. If you do not change the default value "file_" your files will be renamed "file_01, file_02, ...
 Output Folder
The files you want to rename can be located in different folders, hard disks or devices. rematic renamer will copy and rename the files to the defined output folder so your original files will never be changed.
 Browse Folder
By clicking the "Browse Folder" button you can create and/or select your output folder.
 Overwrite Existing Files
If you have checked the "Overwrite Existing Files" checkbox the system may only overwrite existing files in your output folder (never the original Files!).
 Convert File Endings to Lower-Case
Some digital cameras or programs save files with upper-case file endings (eg.: ".JPG"). If you check the "Convert File Endings to Lower-Case" checkbox, rematic renamer will convert upper-case file endings to lower-case.
 File Endings
This is an example for how upper-case endings are displayed in the file list.
 Export Order
With this selection you can assign the renaming order. Top Down will rename the files beginning with the first file in the file list. Bottom-Up will start with the last one in the list.
 Rename every <N> File
It might by practically to define a renaming step (eg.: if you want rename an image sequenze which can be imported frame by frame into Macromedia Flash). If you change the value for example to 3, just every third file will be renamed and copied to the output folder.
 Rename Files
Rename the files in the file list.
